Ryan's Resources - My Adventures & Accomplishments
Las Vegas!
Yeah, that's right, I went to Vegas for Spring Break! I stayed on Fremont Street and rode the public bus called the Deuce to the Strip. All the Deuce buses are wheelchair accessible, but I will say that get VERY crowded. Be prepared to have lots of rear ends in your face! The casinos and shows were all accessible and most people were extremely friendly. I had a blast! Also, AirTran was very accommodating and let me put the extra foam in my seat that I needed to be comfortable.
HAM RADIO
I am pleased to announce that I recently took and passed my Amateur Radio Exam. I am now officially a Technician Class Ham Radio Operator. Another HAM is setting up my rig, and soon I hope to be talking to people all over the place. The test was hard and I studied for quite a while. I took a Ham Cram class with the North Fulton Amateur Radio League. They were extremely helpful!
The world may seem to be a limiting place when it comes to people with disabilities, but no matter what the world says, you can do whatever you want when you put your mind to it. Don't let having a disability hold you back from your dreams!
MY BIRTHDAY AT THE BRAVES
I sat in an awesome section at the Braves game You might think it is in the nosebleeds, but once you get there and you see the view, you'll realize that its not.
The accessible seats are in the back row which means they're super close to bathrooms, food, beer, etc. They are also covered by the upper section so no worries about getting wet. I sat in section 213 but all the accessible seats in the 200 section are like this.
12th Annual Ryan's Gospel Singing
As you may know from being on this site before, I just had my 12th annual gospel singing. This year we raised $6093 for Camp ASCCA which is the greatest camp in the world in my eyes. The money will go to provide people who can't afford to pay to go to camp with scholarships!
Deep Sea Fishing in Florida
The company my father works for recently received an award, so we went to Florida to accept it. While we were, there, we went out deep sea fishing. There's nothing better than a day out on the boat!
LONG ROAD HOME 2008
In June I went to the rally for Long Road Home which helps to raise money to help get people out of nursing homes and institutions. Believe it or now, there are still institutions in the United Sates. I know it is sad, but that's the truth. We raised money and awareness, and had a great time! Here are some photos of the rally!
Me and Josh at the Rally!
Sheila worked at the table for the GAO.

My AJC Article
That's right, I had an article in the AJC about winning my new laptop and about this website. You can read the article here. Thanks for those who read it and gave me input. Sorry it has taken me so long to getting around to adding suggested links.
Camp ASCCA Camper of the Year!
I won Camper of the Year from my favorite place on earth! They surprised me with a plaque and I get to go to Camp again on Christmas weekend! There were like 35 people there to see me get the award!
Disabiliy Day at the Capitol 2009
This annual event was held in February. Over 1000 self-advocates and their supporters attended.
